Panama is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, especially regarding fruits and vegetables. Yet this natural abundance isn’t reflected in the health of its people—obesity and malnutrition remain significant issues.

That’s why, in partnership with the municipality of Panamá and the support of renowned Central American chef Randy Siles, Nestlé launched Low Hanging Nutrients: a series of nutritious dishes made with ingredients Panamanians have always had at their fingertips: fruits that grow freely in public spaces —on trees beside homes, parks, and schools.
